Chez Bruno, Lorgues, FRamuse bouche (before starters) beef tartare, toasted bread with shaved truffle & truffle hummus If you like truffle, this is your heaven. I describe the place has truffle paradise, located right on the outskirts of the Jetset Côte d'Azur, it is worth the detour. Location/ Atmosphere: 5 stars This is the cutest place ever, if you are looking for a relaxing place. There is no music, it is more of a "guide Michelin" type of place. The crowd is older rather than party or family oriented. The garden is extremely comfortable and the winter garden is so confortable to enjoy when it is sunny and cold outside. Food: 5 stars For sure one of my favorite restaurants/ must try. For over 30 years, the concept around the truffle has been based on offering set menus based on seasonal quality products from local suppliers and truffles are also sourced locally. My favorite menu is the 83€ with tuber Uncinatum truffle. The menu is extremely generous, and it is a good glance of what they offer. Menus change regularly so the photographs I'll be uploading my different from when you will visit the restaurant. Every dish is well balanced and delicious, there isn't enough words that can truly describe the experience. This is a real French way to have lunch or diner, a long lasting moment with good food, wine and company. Staff: 4 stars Staff can be impeccable, but a little slow at times. Given that they follow really closely their hierarchy, sometimes there can be delays, but a little glass of wine always helps. Staff always describe the dishes impeccably and create a truly memorable experience. La Guérite, île Sainte Marguerite (Cannes, FR)To describe La Guérite in a nutshell I would say: Delicious food in glamorous unusual location with local music topped with rude staff, could totally also resume the SOF spirit (lol). Location/ atmosphere: 5 stars You cannot find a more rare, exceptional and unusual location than eating on an island of the coast from Cannes, and the only access is with the tender of the restaurant. The view is breath taking, they have a 'beach access' but you truly go there to enjoy a loooonng lunch. This is a real experience and I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to go, to go! Last I went Elton John & Bon Jovi sang live unexpectedly. This is the place where people pop champagne after lunch, dance on tables and skip desserts. Food: 4.5 stars The restaurant serves local/ Mediterranean food and it is super yummy! Even if some locals will tell you "it's too expensive for what it is" as an open minded local I'll tell you, it is expensive but the experience is worth living. If I had to make a short list of what you must order it would be, the Pissaladière, Rigatoni pasta truffle, pasta with lobster, fresh grilled shrimps, and the lemon dessert. Impossible to make it short. I'm adding a * next to all the dishes I'm recommending in the photos :) Staff: 2 stars I'm going to have to be honest and harsh, so that nobody will be surprised or disappointed. Sadly unless you give a big tip on your arrival, or if you are a long time client, most likely that the staff won't really consider you. Don't pay attention to them, ask again and again if you need something and only enjoy your food and the moment. If you get passed the rude French staff you can enjoy it all (ahaha). They have 2 slots to eat and they are really sharp on the timing. 12pm to 3pm and 3pm to 6pm If you arrive after 4:30 it will be really hard for you to get any food, try to get there on time is my advice if you don't want to stress. Only open during the summer (27th of May is usually their opening) 1: Artichoke salad with parmesan cheese -22e 2: Prawns wrapped in angels hair -24e* 3: Pissaladière -20e* 4: Sea bass ceviche -26e Lobster pasta -85e * Sauted beans -9e * 1: Beef rib "tomahawk" -18e/ 100g 2: Homemade Tarama -19e 3: Lobster pasta -85e* 4: Truffle rigatoni -62e* 5: Sauted beans -9e* 6: Grilled prawns -42e* All desserts are 12e (if I remember correctly) don't remember the name of this one... but if you ask for the lemon dessert, I'm sure they will understand. Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream Madeleine, Tiramisu, Fondant, Cheesecake
